Overview
MScore is a surgical skill proficiency portal. The user simulates surgical skills on skill simulator devices which captures metrics for various exercises part of a curriculum.
The portal measures a trainee’s level of proficiency, and uses the comprehensive metrics and experienced surgeon data of Mimic’s MScore.
Those metrics and sessions are synchronised from the skills simulator devices to an Azure hosted MSSQL server. Every hour a caching job runs to aggregate and calculate all the current data synchronised into proficiencies, time spent on simulators, passes and fails.
The MScore user portal then displays the information in a graphical way to show the user their progress/proficiency in a curriculum/exercise and how that compares to the institution to which they belong. Institution administrators have access to see all the users of their institutes data for further evaluation.
