The Federated Employers Mutual Assurance Company (FEM) provides insurance to employers in the construction industry against their liabilities under the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act 1993 (COIDA).

FEM approached Entelect to help with a large-scale modernisation project.

The requirements were to replace their legacy desktop-based application with a redesigned web-based platform to support their underwriting, registry, claims and pensions departments working from branches located in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.

The platform utilises the latest Microsoft Azure technologies and is built for scale and flexibility as more companies move from the Compensation Fund over to FEM.

The Entelect team is involved end-to-end as the technology provider from analysis, UX, development, testing, support and infrastructure setup.
